Affiliate links appear near relevant product information or recommendations and are identified as shopping links. Research citations and evidence links remain ordinary source links.
How recommendations are decided
We first determine what the product needs to do and what could make it a poor fit. Only then do we consider a shopping link. Commission rates and retailer promotions do not turn the wrong product into a recommendation.
A purchase is not always the answer
A guide may narrow the options, rule products out, suggest a repair or professional evaluation, or conclude that you do not need to buy anything. The site may earn a commission only if you choose to use an eligible shopping link.
